Camp at Doheny State Beach and Fall Asleep On The Sand

Imagine enjoying stunning views, having fun jet skiing, a day fishing, quiet time bird watching or roasting hot dogs over an open flame.  These are a few things that can fill your day at Doheny State Beach Campsite.

If you are looking for a fun camping+vacation" rel="tag" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker('/outbound/www.technorati.com');">camping vacation, then this destination should certainly be at the top of your list. This delightful 122 space campground has been around for a while.  It was built in 1932 by the California Conservation Corps and is still being enjoyed by millions today.   You wont fell cramped or invaded upon at this campground.  Each campsite has ample privacy since it is partially surrounded by bushes and comes equipped with a wooden picnic bench and a fire pit.  For the “luxury campers” there are electrical hook-ups, outdoor showers and clean bathrooms.

Doheny park is not a secret.  The park is a popular destination for summer vacations and is usually fully booked from May through September.  More than two million people visit this popular state beach each year, and the park itself hosts about 150,000 campers.

If you have not yet decided where you want to go this summer, consider heading to Doheny Campgrounds.  Its located between Dana Point Harbour and San Clemente.  At $25 per night, this campsite is very affordable and for an extra $10 you can enjoy a and  fall asleep on the sand under the stars.

You wont be bored at Doheny.  There are volley ball courts, surfing, bonfires, bird watching, and even a 500 gallon man made tide pool.  Who could ask for anything more?
