Injecting Humor With Camping Jokes

The saying goes 'laughter is the best medicine', and this is very true – jokes, at least tasteful ones,  leave a very positive impression on people, and make their day a little better. Rather than making jokes about current affairs or politics – something sure to cause arguments if you pick the wrong subject, stick to something almost anyone can identify with, but harmless enough it will not cause offense.  Camping a great subject for that, as there are lots of humorous situations you could end up in while holidaying in the great outdoors.

If you are going to go camping and you like making everyone laugh but already have the shortage of camping jokes, there are many websites that you can visit on the internet to get the latest camping jokes that people around the world has posted.  Also, if you want, you may buy books that contain camping jokes and this would keep you entertained throughout your whole trip and tell them to your companions when you get to your location.

Finding Camping Jokes

Camping is such a popular subject that there are entire sites devoted to camping jokes – one good site is www.lovetheoutdoors.com  -  this site has lots of jokes in the camping humor section – everything from one liners to funny stories about camping adventures.  The source of many of the jokes is not cited, but they are certainly amusing.

For a more general source of jokes, check out www.ahajokes.com  - they have jokes for a variety of topics, but their camping section is very good, and they accept user submissions, so you can add to their repertoire if you wish.

Invest in a Joke Book

If you are really fascinated with jokes and cracking them to your friends and families, you could buy joke books and the book, “101 Wacky Camping Jokes” by Melvin Berger and Don Orehek concentrates on outdoor fun or camping jokes.  This is available when you visit the online store www.amazon.com and is guaranteed to contain clean humor for kids nine to twelve years old.

If you're terrible at remembering jokes, then a book is perfect as you can just whip it out and read out loud – perfect for sessions around the camp fire.  If you are buying other guide books, then you can add this on and save money on shipping if your order totals more than $25.

Reading from a book is a bad idea IMHO - the funny - factor is in the delivery, and if you're stumbling over the cadence, or pronounce something slightly differently to how it needed to be said for the punch-line, then the joke just won't work.

Read the book BEFORE you go, and memorise the jokes - works much better, and you're more likely to get invited to the next camping trip :)
