with.
Before heading out, make a list of what camping equipment you need and plan to take. Pre-planning camping activities will helpyou decide what gear to take or need to purchase. Some campgrounds supply camping gear and a quick check before handwill let you know what is and isn't provided.

When looking to purchase a second hand tent make sure that you thoroughly check it out before hand. When folded up it can behard to spot small holes and tears that could dampen your vacation. If a simple piece is missing, such as a stake, this can be easily replaced.
Getting all your camping equipment together is just the first
step. In order to ensure a long life for your recent purchases
you will need to properly store and care for your gear. After a
long week outdoors cleaning your camping equipment may be the
last thing on your mind. But repairing little holes or tears
while still fresh in your mind will keep the next trip
uneventful.
To avoid rust corroding your cooking gear give them a good
cleaning before storing. If you're unsure how to clean a piece

The gear that you need will depend a lot on how many people will be camping and the needs of each individual person. Taking an infant or young child that requires special care may need additional things. Also, take more bug spray than you think you'll need… I always tend to run out before the end of the trip.

My neighbors had planned an extended weekend of camping for this Marting Luther King Holiday weekend and The rain is just drenching down. They had planned on quite a bit of hiking and now have decided to make other plans. They have bought a nice tent that rolls the water off, but this is not the main problem. Hiking around in the water and rain itself is what has prompted them to postpone their trip. It is such a warm January and too bad it had to be raining for them this weekend. Rain always puts a damper on camping activities!
