Two Easy Ways To Reduce Camping Costs

While camping is still a cost-effective way to spend a vacation, the rising price of fuel and the rising costs of , may require that you look for ways and means to keep your camping costs down.

One way to reduce camping costs may be to make a switch from state campgrounds to federal ones. After all, why stay in a state park for US$25.00 with few frills, when you can stay in a park with a pool and other attractive features for another $5.

Another way to reduce camping costs is to look for state or federal grounds that are a bit cheaper. For instance, there are many state forest campsites and are available for about $10. These low cost campsites are rustic, so if you don’t mind roughing it, you can save some money for your next camping trip.

In the end, it all depends on what is more important to you. More comfort and thrills may mean paying increasingly higher prices for the "choice" campsites. Whatever you do, keep camping!!!
