Eggs are such a versatile food it’s not surprising they are at the top of the list. Of course as good as they might be poached, scrambled, boiled or fried its very important if you are our doing ‘serious’ camping or hiking that they are protein only and have no carbohydrate count, so eggs for breakfast fill you up but give you no energy, make sure you balance your breakfast with bread or beans if you want to keep going until lunch time
